  • Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR

  • Must be able to pass a background check

  • Customer service skills

  • Being able to swim is a requirement

  • Previous experience with hand/power tools

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities:

Pool and spa service and maintenance includes:

  • Test and balance water chemistry 

  • Clean skimmer and pump baskets 

  • Brush and vacuum pool/spa  

  • Fill pool/spa as needed 

  • Clean/backwash filters 

  • Skim pool surface 

  • Vacuum pool bottom 

  • Brush pool walls 

  • Scrub and clean tile 

  • Check equipment for proper operation and report problems 

  • Perform minor repairs on pool equipment 

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform repairs, renovations and installation of equipment including pumps, filters, heaters, lights, chlorinators, pool cleaners, chemical controllers, covers, valves and plumbing for residential and commercial swimming pools and spas  

  • Identify labor, materials, and time requirements to compile job estimates 


Pool & Spa Technician agrees to be available for work 7 days/week and work as scheduled by the employer. Pool & Spa Service/Repair Technician agrees to be available during pool season 1 month before Memorial Day and 1 month after Labor Day and to schedule planned vacation during the off season. 


Training, Development and Learning Workshops: 

Employees and their managers are responsible for seeking and participating in new learning opportunities. Peak One Pool & Spa will approve formal training sessions, coaching and mentoring, on the job training opportunities, job shadowing, job rotation and subscription materials. The employee will receive a training budget of $500 annually and can be absent for training up to 10 days per year provided the employee has been employed with Peak One Pool & Spa for a minimum of four months and remains employed with the company for up to one year following the provided training opportunity. The company will cover any training fees including registration and examination. 

Peak One Pool & Spa may also cover transportation, accommodation, and personal expenses. Any other covered expense that the employee has will be reimbursed after the employee brings in all relevant receipts and invoices. Employee training will be reimbursed by the employee should their employment be terminated for any reason within one year of the formal training session.
